It is February 20 and yesterday Trump, the man at the top of what once was The United States of America, publicly aligned himself with Russia. Against Ukraine. Against Europe. Against democracy.
Russia has been waging information wars for decades. They tear at the seams of society. Any direction and any conflict is a good opportunity - sowing discord whenever possible. Democratic systems are vulnerable.
With freedom of speech and expression, low information intelligence and deteriorating standards, societies easily fall prey to predators. With abundant supply of useful idiots, profiteers, and crooks willing to earn silver.
Democratic societies fall under the attack of these influences. More susceptible to mind-control because they do not suspect nefarious interests. Their citizens live the illusion of being free. And like young, naive children, they believe everything that gets repeated and magnified.
While Russia and China control information space and flow of information, citizens of democratic countries are forced to live and breathe infested environment. We have to develop better defense mechanisms.
